Optimizer
Reducing production costs is the key to successful pig farming.
Among all expenses, feed cost accounts for the largest portion of pig production costs.
Nearly Eliminates Feed Waste
- Feed waste from typical hog feeders is known to average between 6% and 12%. Many producers are unaware of this loss since the feed disperses like dust or falls beneath slats, mixing with manure. However, this waste is real and must be addressed.
- The KOCA Optimizer feeder’s unique patented design effectively eliminates feed waste, leading to significant production cost savings. You can always observe a clean area around the feeder, with no leftover feed. Even feed smeared on the pigs’ mouths gets washed off and remains in the trough when they drink.
Minimizes Water Waste
- Water waste isn’t just a problem in hot summer months when pigs frequently play with nipple drinkers—it occurs year-round and adds substantially to production costs. With tightening environmental regulations, this issue will only grow in importance.
- The KOCA Optimizer prevents pigs from
wasting water. Its Aquamaster valve system
maintains an optimal water level by refilling as
pigs drink.
- Reduced water waste means smaller manure tanks are sufficient.
- Less waste of medicated liquids means more effective treatment.
- Reduced labor as pigs cannot play with the water.
Increases Feed Intake and Accelerates Growth
- The Optimizer features an animal-friendly
design that enables pigs to easily locate both
feed and water, consuming them comfortably.
This encourages higher feed and water intake, promoting healthier and faster growth.

Scientific Trough Structure
Just as trash is washed ashore by waves, feed that sinks in the water
moves uphill along the gentle slope, accumulating on the “shore” of
the trough each time water is supplied by the Aquamaster valve.
Thanks to this effect:
- Feed does not remain submerged for long, preventing spoilage.
- Water stays clean, encouraging pigs to drink more.
- The accumulation of wet feed on the “shore” increases pigs’ intake and improves production.
